This morning at 10.20, the entire school stopped to applaud the amazing work and commitment of a certain Mr John Dillon, who is retiring at the end of this academic year after 42 years. John has been Pres’s Woodwork teacher since 1981 and has always been amongst the most positive and committed staff members. He cares about the school, his students, his subject, his colleagues and brings us all along with his enthusiasm.
Pres will not seem the same without him, but we wish him all the very very best in his Retirement. Enjoy life without a bell!
Many thanks to Mr Rooney for his beautiful drawing, which was signed by all staff members and then framed. John won’t have wanted any fuss at all, but after 42 years, it is the very least he deserves.
We will all miss him.
