One of our past pupils, Michael Burton Class of 2014, plans to run 32 half ironman marathons in 32 days to raise funds for 3 very worthwhile charities, Jigsaw Mental Health, (an organisation with whom the College has a very close relationship), The Irish Cancer Society and Movember. If you can support him by sponsorship etc. he would be extremely grateful (link below. The College will be organising a non-uniform day in the future to support him.
Here are the details
On 31st of August to the 1st of October, I will be completing a half Ironman, every day, in each county in Ireland.
I am doing this in aid of three charities – The Irish Cancer Society, Jigsaw – Youth Mental Health, and Movember. All three charities do invaluable work across their disciplines, and throughout the month I am aiming to raise €32,000 for the organisations.
I was wondering if the school could promote this challenge and inform both past and current students about it
