Our Junior debating teams alongside their coach Mr Coster spent their Thursday evening in UCD battling it out against a variety of different Leinster schools.
Both Pres A – Matthieu de Bairead (2nd Yr) and Rory Keane (3rd Yr) and Pres B David Bourke and Tj Smyth (who was off getting feedback at the time the picture was taken) (both 3rd Yr) had a hugely successful night, placing first in their respective debates on ‘leaving the EU’ and ‘why living in an urban area is better than living in a rural one’.
It is looking very likely that both teams will be competing in the knockout stages after Christmas and we wish them the best of luck as they continue to do great things in the debating world!
