Junior and Senior debating here at Pres got off to a flying start this week with both teams taking part in their first respective competitions of the year.
On Wednesday, the Senior team, led by Captain Adam Hagan competed in the First Round of the Concern Debates, taking on St.Michaels from Finglas. They debated whether GMO’s are necessary in the fight against world hunger. The lads will get the result in the coming days, but we have no doubt that they smashed it.
The Juniors made their way to UCD yesterday evening to open their account in the Leinster J-Schools competition, placing 3rd in Round One and making it through to the next round!
Safe to say they have done both their coach Mr Coster and the school proud, and we wish them all the best in the year to come.
