Today was the official launch of our Spirit of Pres Week (also taking place this week is College Awareness week).
There was a short service/opening ceremony during period 1 for our 1st and 6th years followed by our 2021 Time Capsule talk. This time capsule is to be buried this week, to be reopened in thirty years. 
Our theme for this years Spirit of Pres week is “Caring for each other” and Sam Fitzsimmons read a beautiful reflection on this topic over the intercom.
Two of our TY students Padraig Lyons and Rory O’ Briain spoke with some of our 2nd year classes on the topic of “CBA’s, some Do’s and Don’ts” – they will finish these next Monday with 2.2 and 2.3 and a photo will also be posted. Thanks lads!
Period 9 saw the very first of our Teacher v Student events. The football match was very hotly contested and although the students won the penalty shoot-out, there appears to be some murmurings of “the teachers actually won”. Not so sure though! Teachers still have plenty of time to redeem themselves in Dodgeball, Tag Rugby and the Just a Minute Quiz!
